Safety: why we don't ask for your password in chat and why all communication stays on the site
Scammers often pretend to be support or suggest you “make a deal directly”. A few simple rules will keep your account and your money safe.
In short. You enter your game account password only in the order: in the “Connection details” form or in the order chat with the booster you chose. Support never asks for your password in chat or on Telegram. Communicate and pay only on the site — outside it, the transaction isn't protected.
Short answer
Goranked protects only what happens on the site: payment, messages and data you share in the order. If you pay directly or share your password outside the order, we can't see it and won't be able to help.
How it works
Your password goes only in the order. There are two such places:
- the “Connection details” form — for boost packages and special offers. The “Need clarification” status means the form still needs to be filled in;
- the order chat — for request-based boosts. Only the booster you chose receives the details, and only after payment.
A party order doesn't need a password.
- Support doesn't ask for passwords. Not in the site chat, not on Telegram. If a “staff member” asks for your password, a code or a photo of your card, it's a scammer.
- Communication stays on the site. Below the order chat there's a reminder: “Keep the conversation here: we cannot see or protect messages sent outside the site.” The chat history is your evidence if a dispute comes up.
- Contacts in chats are blocked. A message with contacts or links isn't sent. In the chat of a paid boost you'll see: “Sharing personal contacts is prohibited. You can share account login details — all other communication stays here.”
- Payment happens only on the site. The platform holds the money for the order until the transaction is completed. If you pay a booster or seller directly, you don't get this protection.
- Official channels. The goranked.gg website and the help center help.goranked.gg, the support chat on the site, support on Telegram t.me/gorankedgg and the e-mail from the “Contacts” page. Notifications come from a Telegram bot that you connect yourself in your profile settings.
Good to know
- Giving your password to the booster in the order is fine. Sending your password to “support” in private messages is not.
- Send your Steam Guard code to the booster in the order chat when they ask for it.
- A booster or seller suggests moving to Telegram or paying “cheaper directly”? Decline and tell support. We apply sanctions to anyone who breaks the rules.
- After a boost, change your game account password. Bought an account? Within 24 hours, change the passwords, enable 2FA and remove any recovery methods that aren't yours.
- Protect your Goranked account too: enable two-factor authentication and check “Login sessions” from time to time.
Important. Got a suspicious message? Don't send your password, codes or card details, and don't follow the link. Write to the support chat on the site.
FAQ
Support is asking for my password. Is that normal?
No. You enter login details only in the order: in the “Connection details” form or in the order chat with the booster you chose.
How can I tell if it's really support?
Write via the chat on goranked.gg or on Telegram using the link from the “Contacts” page. Ticket replies arrive in your account dashboard signed “Support”.
Why wasn't my message sent?
Most likely it contains a contact or a link. Remove them and send the message again.
The booster is asking me to message them on Telegram. What should I do?
Decline and stay in the order chat. If they insist, tell support.
Can I pay the booster directly?
No. Outside the site the transaction isn't protected, and we won't be able to refund your money.
How do I enable 2FA?
Open “Settings” and in the “Two-factor authentication” block click “Enable”. Details: Password, 2FA and login sessions.
