Steam Trade URL: where to find it and where to paste it
Your Steam Trade URL is your trade link on Steam. The seller sends the trade offer with your skin to this link, so without it your order cannot be delivered.
In short. Copy the link in Steam: “Inventory” → “Trade Offers” → “Who can send me Trade Offers?”. Paste it in your profile, at checkout or on the order page. You can pay without a Trade URL, but the skin will not be sent until you add it.
Who this is for
- You are buying a skin for the first time.
- You paid for an order without a Trade URL.
- You created a new trade link in Steam, and the old one no longer works.
What you need
- Access to your Steam account.
- A Goranked account — to save the link in your profile.
The link looks like this: https://steamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/new/?partner=…&token=…
Steps
Copy your Trade URL in Steam
- Open Steam and go to “Inventory”.
- Click “Trade Offers”. The trade offers page opens.
- Click “Who can send me Trade Offers?”. The trade settings page opens.
- Find the “Third-Party Sites” block and the “Trade URL” field.
- Click “Copy”. The link is copied to your clipboard.
You can also open this page directly: steamcommunity.com/my/tradeoffers/privacy.
Important. Do not click “Create New URL” on this page unless you need to. After that, the old link stops working, and you will have to update it on Goranked.
Option 1. Save your Trade URL in your profile
This way, the link is filled in automatically for new orders.
- Open your profile settings, the “Steam” block (/en/profile/settings#steam).
- Click “Connect Steam” and sign in through Steam. You will see the message “Steam linked successfully. Now paste your Trade URL.”
- Paste the copied link into the Trade URL field.
- Click “Save Trade URL”. You will see the message “Trade URL saved”.
When you connect, you will see this explanation: “We only receive your public Steam ID — your password is never sent. You add the Trade URL separately after sign-in.” Under the Trade URL field there is a hint: “This link will be used as the default on skin checkout. You can override it at any time during checkout.”
Option 2. Enter your Trade URL at checkout
The checkout page has the field “Steam Trade URL (optional — can be provided after payment)”. If the link is saved in your profile, it is already filled in. You can change it right here.
Option 3. Enter your Trade URL on the order page
Use this option if you paid without a Trade URL or want to change the link for a specific order.
- Open the order in “My orders”.
- Paste the link into the field on the “Steam Trade URL” card. The field checks the format right away: a cross means the link is invalid, a check mark means the format is correct.
- Click “Confirm Trade URL”. The card will show “✓ Trade URL saved”.
To change a saved link, click “Change”, paste the new link and click “Update Trade URL”.
Which link is used. If a Trade URL is set on the order page, the skin is sent to it. If not, it is sent to the link from your profile.
If the link is not accepted
- “Specify a Steam Trade URL” — the field is empty. Paste the link.
- “Enter a valid link” — the text in the field does not look like a link. Copy it from Steam again.
- “The link must be of the form steamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/new/?partner=...&token=...” — you pasted a different link, for example to your Steam profile. Copy the “Trade URL” link itself.
What's next
After you pay and save your Trade URL, wait for the trade offer in Steam. To learn how to accept it and what the statuses mean, see Skin delivery.
The “Disconnect Steam” button in your profile also deletes the saved Trade URL.
Important. Do not change your Trade URL during delivery — neither on Goranked nor in Steam. Otherwise, the trade offer may not reach you.
FAQ
Can I pay for an order without a Trade URL?
Yes. But the skin will not be sent until you add the link on the order page.
Can Goranked see my Steam password?
No. When you connect Steam, we only receive your public Steam ID. Your password is never sent.
My profile and my order have different links. Which one is used?
The link from the order. The link from your profile is used only if the order does not have one.
I created a new link in Steam. What should I do?
Save the new link in your profile. If you have an order that has not been delivered yet, update the link on its page using “Change”. If the order is already “Delivering”, contact support using “Open ticket”.
What happens if I click “Disconnect Steam”?
Steam is disconnected from your profile, and the saved Trade URL is deleted.
