Connecting Steam to your profile
A connected Steam account lets your Trade URL fill in automatically on CS2 skin orders. Here's how to connect Steam, save your Trade URL and disconnect Steam.
In short. “Settings” → “Steam” block → “Connect Steam” → sign in on the Steam website. Then paste your Trade URL and click “Save Trade URL”. We only receive your public Steam ID — your password is never shared.
Who this is for
- You buy CS2 skins and don't want to paste your Trade URL every time.
- For boosting, accounts and other products, you don't need to connect Steam.
Your Trade URL is your Steam trade link. The seller sends a trade offer with the skin to it.
What you need
- To be signed in to your Goranked account.
- Access to your Steam account.
- Your Trade URL. Where to find it is explained in the article on Steam Trade URL.
Steps
Connect Steam
- Click your avatar in the site header and select “Settings”. Find the “Steam” block.
- Click “Connect Steam”. The official Steam sign-in page opens.
- Sign in to Steam and confirm the sign-in. Steam takes you back to “Settings”.
- Check for the message “Steam linked successfully. Now paste your Trade URL.” The block now shows your Steam name and avatar, Steam ID and the date you connected.
If you have the default avatar on Goranked, the site sets your Steam avatar instead.
Save your Trade URL
- Click “Open my Trade URL on Steam ↗”. A Steam page with your trade link opens.
- Copy the trade link. Step-by-step instructions are in the article on Steam Trade URL.
- Paste the link into the Trade URL field in the “Steam” block.
- Click “Save Trade URL”. You'll see the message “Trade URL saved. It will be used as the default on future orders.”
The saved link will be filled in on the checkout page and in skin orders. You can change it for a specific order.
Important. Connecting Steam alone is not enough. The Trade URL can't be taken from Steam automatically, so paste it manually. Without a Trade URL, the skin won't be sent.
Disconnect Steam
- Click “Disconnect Steam”. Your browser asks “Disconnect Steam account?”.
- Confirm in the browser window. You'll see the message “Steam disconnected.”
Along with the Steam ID, your Steam name and avatar and the saved Trade URL are removed. Orders you've already created are not cancelled. For a new order, you'll need to enter your Trade URL again.
Important. When you connect, Goranked receives only your public Steam ID and your Steam profile name and avatar. You enter your password and Steam Guard codes only on the Steam website — they are never passed to us.
If it didn't work
If after signing in to Steam you see “Could not complete sign-in via Steam.”, “Could not verify the Steam response.” or “Invalid Steam ID format.”, click “Connect Steam” again. If the error keeps coming back, contact support.
If your Trade URL won't save, make sure you copied the trade link itself. Error messages are explained in the article on Steam Trade URL.
