Site language, currency and time zone
You can change the language and currency at any time, even without signing in. The time zone is set in your profile. Here is where to do it and what it affects.
In short. To change the language and currency, use the button with a flag and a currency code in the site header (“Language and currency”) → “Save changes”. Time zone: “Settings” → “Edit Profile” → “Time zone” → “Save”.
Who this is for
- The site opened in the wrong language.
- Prices are shown in the wrong currency.
- Dates and deadlines in your account dashboard don't match your local time.
What you need
- For language and currency — nothing, you don't need to sign in.
- For the time zone — you need to sign in to your Goranked account.
Steps
Change the language and currency
- Click the button with a flag and a currency code in the site header. Its tooltip says “Language and currency”. The “Website settings” window opens.
- Choose a language in the “Language” field.
- Choose a currency in the “Currency” field.
- Click “Save changes”. The page reloads in the chosen language, and prices are shown in the chosen currency.
On a phone, open the site menu: the “Language” and “Currency” tiles open the same window. The same button is also at the bottom of the page, in the footer.
Set your time zone
- Click your avatar in the site header and choose “Settings”.
- In the “General” block, click “Edit Profile”. The “Edit Profile” window opens.
- Click the “Time zone” field. A list of time zones opens.
- Type a city in Latin letters into the “Search...” field, for example Kyiv. Time zones are written in the Europe/Kyiv format.
- Choose your time zone from the list.
- Click “Save”. The page refreshes, and dates in your account dashboard are shown in your time.
Site language
At the time of writing, the site is available in seven languages: English, French, German, Polish, Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian. In the window, language names are written in Latin letters, with flags next to them.
Every page address starts with a language code: /ua, /en, /ru, /fr, /de, /pl, /tr. When you change the language, the site opens the same page with the new code, for example /ua/profile → /en/profile. Your choice is remembered in this browser for 30 days.
If you open a link with a language code, the page shows that exact language. If there is no code, the site uses your saved choice, then your browser language, and if neither works — Ukrainian.
Currency
At the time of writing, 13 currencies are available: UAH, EUR, GBP, USD, KZT, PHP, TRY, PLN, ILS, AUD, CAD, CZK, DKK. In the list, each one is shown with its symbol, for example “UAH грн”. The exchange rate updates automatically.
The site picks the default currency based on the country you visit from. For example, from Ukraine — UAH, from eurozone countries — EUR, from the US — USD. If the country can't be detected, the site shows a fallback currency, usually USD. A currency you choose yourself takes priority over the country-based choice.
Important. The currency of prices on the site and the currency you are charged in may differ. It depends on the payment method — see the article about currencies and exchange rates.
Time zone
Your time zone affects dates and times in your account dashboard, deadlines, and the time in emails and notifications, including Telegram and push.
Until you set a time zone, the field shows “— Auto (server time) —”, with a hint below it: “Not set — the site uses server time. Choose your zone so dates, deadlines and notifications show in your time.”
When you first open your account dashboard, the site tries to detect your time zone from your browser and saves it if no time zone is set yet. A time zone you choose yourself is never changed automatically.
Important. Changing the language translates only the site interface. Chat messages and emails that were already sent are not translated.
