Clearing Low Priority in Dota 2
A guide for players who got the “Low priority” penalty in Dota 2 and want a booster to play the required matches.
In short. Open “Low priority” in Dota 2, set “Number of Matches” and the server, and click “Calculate the price”. Boosters will send their prices and deadlines to the request — choose an offer and pay. The matches are played for you, or together with you if you choose “Play with Booster”.
Who this is for
- Valve has temporarily put your account in low priority. To get rid of the status, you need to play a certain number of matches.
- You don't want to play these matches yourself — a booster will play them. Or you want to play together with the booster: that's what the “Play with Booster” option is for.
- If you need to raise the behavior score itself, see Behavior Score boost.
What you need
- Know how many matches you have left to play. The game shows this number, and it depends on how serious the violations were.
- For a solo boost — access to your account: your Steam login and password, a Steam Guard code or backup codes. For a party, no access is needed.
- A Goranked account: sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email.
- An order of at least the minimum amount. At the time of writing, it's 300 UAH, $5, €4, £3 or 2 zł, depending on the currency.
How much it costs
The price per match depends on the number of matches. Approximate prices without options (at the time of writing):
| “Number of Matches” | Price per match | Total |
|---|---|---|
| 1–3 | ≈ 1.03 € | up to ≈ 3.1 € |
| 4 | ≈ 1.14 € | ≈ 4.6 € |
| 5 | ≈ 1.14 € | ≈ 5.7 € |
| 6 | ≈ 1.25 € | ≈ 7.5 € |
Prices are set in UAH, so amounts in euros are approximate. Options add their own percentage.
Because of the minimum order amount, an order for 1–3 matches won't go through. At the time of writing, without options you can order from 4 matches in euros and from 6 in UAH. The booster names the final price in the request — see How the boost price is calculated.
Steps
- Open the service. In the “All games” menu, choose Dota 2, then “Low priority” (address /en/dota2/lp). The “Low Priority Matchmaking in Dota 2” page opens with the calculator and the “Your order” column.
- Set “Number of Matches”. Change the number with the minus and plus buttons — from 1 to 6 (at the time of writing). In the “Your order” column, the number appears in the “matches” row, and “Estimated price” is recalculated.
- Choose “Server”. Select the server you play on. It will be included in the request parameters.
- Tick the options. Available: “Offline Mode” (free), “Turbo Mode 🚀” (+20%) and “Play with Booster” (+40%) — surcharges at the time of writing. With “Play with Booster”, you play together with the booster and don't share your account. More details: Solo boost or party boost.
- Click “Calculate the price”. If you're not signed in, a sign-in window opens first. Then “Creating request…” appears, and the request page opens. If the amount is below the minimum, you'll see “Minimum order amount” — increase “Number of Matches”.
- Wait for offers. The first offers usually arrive within a few minutes, and the page updates by itself. The request is valid for a few hours; the exact time is in the “Valid until” field.
- Compare the offers. Look at “Price”, “deadline”, and the booster's rating and reviews. If needed, click “Chat” and discuss the terms. More details: Request page: how to read booster offers.
- Click “Choose”. The row gets the “Chosen” tag. You have 120 minutes to pay (at the time of writing), after which the selection is removed.
- Click “Pay”. At checkout, the “Total” row shows the booster's price. Promo codes don't apply, but you can use cashback. After payment, click “Go to the order”.
Important. In low priority, finding a match takes longer than usual. So clearing it takes several hours and depends on the queue. The booster gives the exact deadline in the offer.
What's next
- The order gets the “In progress” status right away.
- For a solo boost, you give account access in the order chat — see Handing over account access. With “Play with Booster”, you don't share your account; you agree on the playing time with the booster in the chat.
- While the booster is playing the matches, don't log in to the account or play yourself — see Rules during a boost.
- When the booster finishes, the status changes to “Waiting for confirmation”. Check in the game that low priority has been removed and click “Confirm completion” — see Confirm completion.
FAQ
How many matches should I enter?
As many as the game shows until low priority is removed. The number depends on how serious the violations were.
Can I order 1–3 matches?
The calculator allows it, but the amount will be below the minimum, and the request won't be created. At the time of writing, orders in euros start from 4 matches.
How long does clearing take?
Usually a few hours. In low priority, the matchmaking queue is longer. The exact deadline is in the “deadline” field of the booster's offer.
Can I play myself while the matches are being played off?
In a solo boost — no, don't log in to the account. If you want to play yourself, choose “Play with Booster”.
Do I have to share my account?
For a solo boost — yes, in the order chat. With “Play with Booster” — no. About the risks of sharing your account: Solo boost or party boost.
