How to order a Dota 2 calibration
A guide for anyone who needs calibration matches played: what to enter in the calculator, how the estimated price is calculated and what happens after payment.
In short. In Dota 2, open “Calibration”, choose the “Initial rank”, the “Number of Matches” and the server, then click “Calculate the price”. Boosters will send their prices and deadlines to the request — choose an offer and pay.
Who this is for
- You need to calibrate your rating in Dota 2, and you want a booster to play the calibration matches — instead of you or together with you in a party.
- You've already played some of the matches yourself. You can order only the rest, but then the result may be lower.
- If your MMR is already calibrated and you want to raise it, you need the MMR boost article.
What you need
- A Dota 2 account that needs calibration.
- To know how many calibration matches you need to play.
- A Goranked account: sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email.
- An order of at least the minimum amount. At the time of writing, that's 300 ₴, $5, €4, £3 or 2 zł, depending on the currency.
Steps
- Open the service. In the “All games” menu, choose Dota 2, then “Calibration” (address /en/dota2/kalibrovka). The calculator and the “Your order” column open.
- Choose the “Initial rank”. Pick the rank the calibration starts from in the list. The price of one match depends on the rank.
- Enter the “Number of Matches”. The estimated price equals the match price for your rank multiplied by the number of matches. The “Estimated price” and “Estimated completion time” on the right will update.
- Choose the server. Select the server you play on. It becomes part of the request details.
- Tick the options. For calibration, these options are available: “Select Time”, “Playing with Stream”, “Offline Mode”, “Choose Heroes”, “Turbo Mode 🚀”, “Play with Booster”, “Party with friend”. The “Choose Position” and “Boost Solo” options aren't available here. Each option adds a percentage to the estimated price — see Additional boost options.
- Click “Calculate the price”. You'll see “Creating request…”, and the request page opens. You can have only one open request per service.
- Wait for offers. The first offers usually arrive within a few minutes, and the page updates by itself. There are no separate notifications — keep an eye on the request page and the bar under the site header. A request is valid for a few hours; the exact time is in the “Valid until” field.
- Compare the offers. Look at the “Price”, the “deadline”, and the booster's rating and reviews. If needed, click “Chat” and discuss the terms. How to read an offer row is explained in Request page: how to read booster offers.
- Click “Choose”. The row gets the “Chosen” tag. You have 120 minutes to pay (at the time of writing); after that, the choice is cleared.
- Click “Pay”. At checkout, the “Total” line shows the booster's price. A promo code doesn't apply, but you can use cashback. After payment, click “Go to the order”.
Important. If you've played some calibration matches yourself and order only the rest, the calibration result may be lower.
What's next
- The order immediately gets the “In progress” status.
- You hand over account access in the order chat — see Handing over account access. If you chose “Play with Booster”, you don't hand over the account; instead, you agree on the playing time with the booster in the chat.
- While a solo boost is in progress, don't log in to the account — see Rules during a boost.
- When the booster finishes, the status changes to “Waiting for confirmation”. Check the result and click “Confirm completion” — see Confirm completion.
FAQ
How is the calibration price calculated?
In the calculator, the estimated price is the match price for your rank multiplied by the number of matches, plus the percentages of the options you choose. The booster sets the final price in the request.
Can I play some of the matches myself?
Yes. In “Number of Matches”, enter only the matches that are left. Keep in mind that the result may be lower.
Can I play together with a booster?
Yes, choose the “Play with Booster” option. There's also “Party with friend”: the booster plays from your account and takes a second account into the party.
How is calibration different from an MMR boost?
With calibration, you order a set number of matches. With an MMR boost, you order a rating range “From” → “To”.
What if there are no offers?
When the request expires, click “Create again” or “Change details”. More in Request expired: what to do.
