How to order a Dota 2 MMR boost
A step-by-step guide from setting up the calculator to paying the booster you choose. You'll learn what happens at each step and how much time you have for each action.
In short. In Dota 2, open “Dota 2 MMR Boost”, set your starting and target MMR, the server and options, and click “Calculate the price”. A request is created, and boosters send their prices and deadlines. Click “Choose” next to the offer you want and pay — the order goes into progress right away.
Who this is for
- You want to raise your MMR in Dota 2 ranked matches, and your MMR is already calibrated. If not, start with the Calibration article.
- You want to choose a booster yourself based on price, deadline and reviews.
- If you need a fixed price without waiting for offers, check out Boost packages.
What you need
- A Dota 2 account with calibrated MMR.
- A Goranked account. You can set up the calculator as a guest, but after you click “Calculate the price”, a sign-in window opens: “Sign in with Google” or sign-in with a code sent to your email.
- About 15 minutes for setup, the first offers and payment.
- At least 50 MMR and an order of at least the minimum amount. At the time of writing, that's 300 ₴, $5, €4, £3 or 2 zł, depending on the currency.
Steps
- Open the service. In the “All games” menu, choose Dota 2, then “Dota 2 MMR Boost” (address /en/dota2/boost-mmr). A page opens with the calculator on the left and the “Your order” column on the right.
- Set “From” and “To”. Drag the slider or type your MMR into the fields. The “Estimated price” and “Estimated completion time” on the right update right away. The price per MMR point grows with the rating — more in How the boost price is calculated.
- Choose the “Server”. Select the server you play on. It becomes part of the request details.
- Tick the options you need. Hover over an option to see a tooltip with its description. For an MMR boost, these options are available: “Select Time”, “Playing with Stream”, “Offline Mode”, “Choose Heroes” (up to 5 allowed and up to 5 banned heroes), “Turbo Mode 🚀”, “Play with Booster”, “Choose Position”, “Boost Solo”, “Party with friend”. Each option adds its own percentage to the estimated price. What each one does is explained in Additional boost options.
- Check “Your order”. Here you see the order details, “Minimum order amount”, “Cashback” and the “Estimated price” total. You can also turn on “Turbo mode” here, in the “Speed up execution” block.
Important. The “Estimated price” is only a guide. In a request, the booster sets the price. A promo code and the volume discount (“Add N more MMR to get a discount”) don't apply to the booster's price, but you can use cashback.
- Click “Calculate the price”. Under the button it says: “An order auction will be created — executors will start offering their own prices for the job.” You'll see “Creating request…”, and the request page opens. If you already have an open request for this service, the button opens it, and no new one is created.
- Wait for offers. At the top of the page you see the service, the details (for example, “2 588 → 3 000”) and the “Cancel request” button. The “Notified / Viewed / Offers” counters show how many boosters received the request, viewed it and replied. While there are no offers, you see the text “Waiting for performer offers — the first responses usually arrive within a few minutes — the page will update by itself”. New offers are highlighted and come with a sound (the “Notification sound” setting). The “Pay” button on the right is grey with the hint “Choose a performer in the offers feed first”.
- Compare the offers. Each row shows the booster's nickname and a check mark if they've passed Goranked verification. You may also see a “Recommended” tag (the booster with the most completed orders) or a “New seller” tag, the rating and reviews (for example, “★ 4.9 · 12 reviews”) or the number of completed orders, the in-game level, “deadline” and “Price”. Boosters set their in-game level themselves. Click a nickname to open a card with the fields “Registration date”, “orders completed”, “Rating” and “Recent reviews”. In the right column, “To pay: from …” shows the lowest price.
- Message the booster if needed. Click “Chat” in the offer row to open “Chat with performers”. Here you can clarify details and bargain: if you agree, the booster will change their offer. Messages can be up to 1000 characters, and you can attach up to 3 files of up to 10 MB each. You can't share contacts: “Sharing contacts in the chat is not allowed. Agree on the price and deadline here — contacts will be revealed after the order is paid.”
- Click “Choose”. The row moves to the top with the “Chosen” tag, and a banner appears: “Performer chosen. All that's left is to pay — work starts right after payment. Pay by {time} — after that the choice is cleared and the request goes to other performers.” You have 120 minutes to pay (at the time of writing). To change your mind, click “Change” — the choice will be cleared.
- Click “Pay”. The checkout opens, with the booster's price in the “Total” line. You can apply cashback and pay, for example with Apple Pay or Google Pay. After payment, you'll see “Thank you for your purchase!” — click “Go to the order”.
What's next
- The order immediately gets the “In progress” status, and you receive an “Order Paid #N” email.
- You hand over account access in the order chat — see Handing over account access. The conversation from the request is copied into this chat, and the booster's contacts become visible after payment.
- While a solo boost is in progress, don't log in to the account — see Rules during a boost.
- When the booster finishes, the status changes to “Waiting for confirmation”. You'll get a message from the Telegram bot (if you've connected it) or a “Your order #N is ready — please confirm” email. Check the result and click “Confirm completion” — see Confirm completion.
Important. If you don't pay in time, the booster choice is cleared, and other boosters can see the request again — until it expires. A request is valid for a few hours; the exact time is in the “Valid until” field. When it expires, a “Request expired…” banner appears with the “Change details” and “Create again” buttons.
FAQ
How long do I wait for offers?
The first offers usually arrive within a few minutes, and the page updates by itself. There are no separate notifications about new offers — keep an eye on the request page and the bar under the site header.
Can I bargain?
Yes. The booster sets the price, and you can discuss it in “Chat with performers”. If you agree, the booster will change their offer in the feed.
What if there are no offers?
When the request expires, a banner appears: “Request expired. Performers can no longer see it — create the same one in one click, your parameters will be kept.” Click “Create again” or “Change details”. More in Request expired: what to do.
Can I play during the boost?
In a solo boost — no: don't log in to the account while the booster is working. If you want to play yourself, choose “Play with Booster”. If nobody should play on the account at certain hours, choose “Select Time”.
How do I cancel a request?
The “Cancel request” button works until a booster is chosen. If you've already clicked “Choose”, click “Change” first.
